THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD

 

The following are the newest wonders of the world  of the year 2023.

1: Great pyramid of Giza- The Great of Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid and it is the tomb of fourth dynasty pharaoh Khufu.It is said to be built around 26th century BC. The material that was used to built it was mainly limestone,mortar and some granite.It's base is 440 cubits or 230.33metres or 756 ft. The volume is  2.6 million m3 ( 92 million cu ft)

The Great pyramid is the most famous of all pyramids.

2:Colossus of Rhodes- It was a statue that stood tall as it watched over a harbour at the entryway of the town of Rhodes.It wore a crown as it gazed at the sky above the sun and his right hand kept his eyes  protected from the rays of the sun .The bronze statue of a man was extremely tall and became a symbol of unity and victory that stood more than 2000 years ago.

The statue was destroyed and the remains are no longer present today.It took 12 years to complete it's building because there was lots of comications during it's construction.

3: Hanging walls of Babylon– They were describe as a remarkable feat of engineering with an ascending series of tiered gardens containing many types of trees, vines and shrubs, looking like a large green mountain constructed of mud bricks.

It was built in the ancient city of Babylon,near the present day Hillah,Babil province in Iraq.

4: The Great wall of china- It is a series of fortifications that were built across the historical Northern borders of ancient chinese states and Imperial china as protection against nomadic groups from Eurasian Steppe.

5: Taj Mahal-It is an islamic ivory white marble mausoleum on the riight bank of the river Yamuna in Indian city of Agra.Its was built in 1632 by the mughal emperor Shah Jahan 2 house the tomb of his wife,Mumtaz Mahali.

6:Christ Reedemer- It is the statue of Jesus Christ in Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.It was built in the early 20th century.Lately,from the ground far below,Rio famed Christ the Redeemer statue appears to be cupping tiny people in it's mighty hand.

7:Petra the Khaznah- It is one of the most elaborate temples in Petra,a city of the Nabatean Kingdom inhabitated by the Arabs in ancient times.Petra was the capital city of a once- nomadic tribe called Nabatean.
